Nominating Committee

The Interscholastic Nominating Committee shall consist of eight members, representing member schools, one from each region, who shall be appointed by the respective regions.

It shall be the duty of the Interscholastic Nominating Committee to prepare nominations for standing committee assignments of the Interscholastic Division which shall be presented at the Annual Meeting for election by the members of the Association.

The Nominating Committee shall strive to maintain a balanced representation of geographical regions, constituent groups, and grade levels.

Recommendations by MIAAA for committee assignments shall be submitted to the Interscholastic Nominating Committee prior to April 1. Nominating Committees shall, upon written notice of the Executive Director of the Association, meet prior to April 15. No current member of the Nominating Committee may be nominated for president, president-elect.
