MPA and MaxPreps Announce Partnership

The Maine Principals’ Association (MPA) and MaxPreps, an online leader in high school sports, have announced a three-year partnership agreement that will enable the MPA to provide a customized sports information platform for its member schools.

MaxPreps and the MPA will offer a publishing platform across desktop, tablet and mobile that will streamline the process of managing sports statistics for its member schools as well as publishing schedules, rosters, standings, and scores in one location for all of Maine’s high school sports fans.

Beginning with the Winter 2021 season, coaches will be encouraged to submit statistics to MaxPreps after each game to accurately track regular-season standings and create statewide leaderboards.

“Our formalized partnership with MaxPreps is a logical next step for our association,” said Executive Director of Interscholastic Activities Mike Burnham. “We work to organize and promote interscholastic activities in the state of Maine, and we are excited for the tools that MaxPreps brings to the table to help our schools’ administrators and coaches serve their teams and their fans.”

“At MaxPreps it has long been our goal to provide sports information from every team in America, and we are thrilled to be able to share the accomplishments of MPA student-athletes with the entire nation,” said Gerry Valerio, Director of State Association Partnerships for MaxPreps. “MPA leadership has a vision to provide industry-leading technology to its member schools, and MaxPreps is excited to integrate our platform to help the MPA continue to expand its media website.”
